14th February, the whole country is paying their condolences for the dark and unacceptable truth which took place at Pulwama!

As all of us know, we lost 40 Central Reserve Police Force personnel. The incident has not affected only the family members of these 40 martyrs but the whole nation! 

Today, I am writing again, to pay tribute to not only those 40 martyrs but also every single Indian who lives for the safety of our country. 

After research, I got to know that around 107 terrorist attacks India has faced since 1980 and lost innumerable brave lives! The number of regular attacks on borders, and firing across the Line of Controls are not even counted. There are many unofficial and undercover operations conducted by the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Airforce, or Indian Intelligence Agencies like RAW. Without our knowledge, we are being saved from a horrible death, every single moment by all these officers, the living Gods! 

My question to all of you is, “Is this only their responsibility to take care of our country?” “How are we contributing to making our country a safe place for every one of us?” 

If I start stating the problems and the reasons or excuses behind them, it will never stop but I also know that as responsible Indians, every one of us has the best possible solution to solve these issues! 

Let us be a responsible Indian 

Two years back, at the Yuva Summit 2020, I had an opportunity to meet one of the eminent personalities of the Indian Army, Param Veer Chakra Awardee. Yogendra Singh Yadav has fought in the Kargil War, Operation Vijay, and the Battle of Tiger Hill. He addressed the crowd by saying, “You are an Indian first then a leader, student, child, sister, brother, mother, or father! Before any relations, you belong to this country and you have equal responsibility for our country on your shoulders as much as army personnel”. 

Starting with the basic duty of being an Indian, 

Caste Your VOTE! Don’t do it because you want a particular party to win, but because you want to see the changes and development in our country! 

Pay Taxes! 

Paying tax is our responsibility. In simpler words, when we start earning, we are eventually considered responsible people at home where we shall perform our duties as a responsible daughter or a responsible son. Then, why do we stop ourselves from performing our duties towards our own country? I have started paying my taxes and it feels more responsible every month! 

Say No to Unethical and Illegal Work!

I am not going to give any particular example for this one! Just say NO and stop the unethical and illegal actions which can destroy the peace and foundation of our country. Don’t do or never allow someone to do the work which is harmful to our country! 

Let us make our country safe! 

When I say this, almost everyone must have thought about girls’ safety, am I right? Well, in the present, no one, even a child, a man or a boy is safe on the streets! 

Let us make sure that we create a safe atmosphere for each other! Instead of being a machine, let us be humans with emotions and a bit of humanity in our hearts! 

Instead of creating chaos on the basis of castes, genders, and age groups, let us unite and be a family! 

If you have ever been to a cantonment area or military quarters, you will experience the unity and that kind of unity we all must have among each other! 

Give Back! 

Now, I am not speaking in terms of taxes but in terms of talent! Instead of settling abroad, work for our country! Spend not just money but share your talent for the development of our own country! Work on your passion, start something creative or new, or work in a company but make sure you are giving back to your country! 

This is the place where we were born, this is the place where we were educated and sometimes even provided with scholarships, this is the place we have learned to live! And we should never forget to be grateful and that is where we need to give back to this country and its development. 

Well, guys, these are just basic points everyone must follow otherwise the list will just go on! 

The whole point is if you want to sympathize with the family of every martyr then do at least one deed a day that will help our country. Our defense is doing its job to protect us from the outer world but it is our responsibility to protect the inner terrorism otherwise the sacrifices done by those brave personnel will flow in the drain! 

By lighting the candles we can not bring them back, by conducting rallies we can not save this country! The least we can do is perform our duties as a PROUD INDIAN to share our tribute to every martyr!

Every pillar of confidence she had built for the last few years was falling down! 

All those who promised to stay back could not understand her! 

Those beautiful eyes which were never tired of dreams were afraid to rest! 

She believed in losing the “HER” in herself! 

She saw herself losing hopes over those sunsets! 

Every moment of life she just grasped the reality of this world! 

The numbness in her heart won over the valuable emotions of her life! 

The darkness didn’t allow her shadow to stay with her! 

Every single time she came across any hope of ray, as soon as she reached there, those doors were closed! 

She knew this was one of those worst phases of life, but she could not find the energy to continue! 

She fell to her knees, shouting but all she heard was her echo in the darkness! 

The darkroom did have many locked but still transparent doors through which one would just see, listen, judge, laugh, and sympathize! 

When she heard her echoes she felt the pain once again, she understood the real meaning of love and life! 

She understood it can never be someone else, it is just her and only HER! 

Those echoes made her realize no one is interested to listen or understanding the pain the way she does! 

No one can love her the way she has to love herself! 

She was scared to fail in loving herself motto! 

The shivering hands and legs, the broken heart was the only support to the shattered mind! 

She stood up to fall again! 

She stood up to love the life she is blessed with! 

She stood up because she knows she is the best! 

On this date, ten years ago, the whole of India began their day with an enthusiasm that was on a regular basis. The nation didn’t know what fate it would face that night. Mumbai city didn’t know the danger to her life. The whole city and its citizens were busy with themselves and involved with their work. But as the sun set down, the night became the darkest they would ever see. 

The incident that befell Mumbai that night left everyone devastated. That night few people didn’t return to their houses, some felt their death, while some others saw death playing with lives. We have all seen what the city went through. There are some lives that are still affected by this horrifying incident. More than 160 people were killed and the attack went on for a stretch of 4 days. 

To save from complete destruction, the real heroes sacrificed their lives and families. National Security Guard, MACROS, Mumbai Police, Indian ATS and Indian fire brigade worked for 4 consecutive days. They didn’t only see their death but witnessed the havoc of death. Hats off to those “Real Heroes for fighting selflessly. May God give all of them and their family good and healthy life. And rest in peace to those who can’t accompany us today.  

Today my motto of writing is not showing gratitude to all the respected martyrs. But to remind me and the readers about our duty towards the country, to make it better so that sacrifices done by the legends won’t go to waste. 
It can be very shameful to read the next thing that I have written. When it comes to respecting our army, police etc., I have heard things like “it’s their work to sacrifice their lives and family for the nation as we are paying them”. It’s a shame to listen to such meaningless words. But this category is very less and the maximum people know the value of having such great warriors. Our heroes sacrifice their lives and family to save the country. Do we want them to feel worthy of their work and sacrifice? Yes, they do save our country from external dangers but what about the insects inside, which are stopping us to grow. 

We fight to be a part of a particular state, when, what actually matters is our nationality. We fight for castes when what matters is humanity. When someone wants to do something good, 1000 people are there to drag him down instead of supporting a good cause. We will grow only if we are strong and together despite the colour, the language we speak, the state we belong to, the caste or the god we worship. 

What I think is that humanity is the only god and INDIAN is our identity. I am not disrespecting any caste, language colour or state, but willing to keep INDIAN as our first priority. 

Our foundation of education teaches us not to differentiate between castes yet the admission form asks us to share our religion! Children go to schools on Independence Day and Republic Day with the flags in their hands. Parents and teachers tell them how being INDIAN is important but only for a day! 

Rest days of the year are spent teaching & focusing on how their religion stands better than anything else. India is a country filled with traditions, we should follow them but as an INDIAN not as representative of a particular religion. 

We should grow with time and as we are growing now, we are forgetting an important factor of life called, “humanity”! Humanity towards not only human beings but also to all the animals, to all kinds of creatures in this world, respecting each other, their thoughts, their existence, their opinions etc. 

Following basic morals are the basic concepts to develop in a good way. When we follow them, we will stand together to fight the pests inside the country which are stopping us from growing. Our officers, army, and police are doing their job to protect the country from external dangers. And when they fight, they don’t belong to any caste or state or culture but to humanity. 

Let’s stand together as INDIANS to fight against internal problems. I guess that will be the biggest and most meaningful tribute to the sacrifices and the efforts done by the heroes.
